  • Initiate a new conversation - To begin a direct message (DM) or to create a space for project collaboration, select New chat. 
  • Stay updated on your discussions—You can access all your chats and messages in Home. In the top right corner of Home, you can adjust your settings.  
  • Locate all the messages where you are mentioned - Click on Mentions @ under “Shortcuts.” 
  • Locate the messages you have marked with a star - Click on "Starred" under the “Shortcuts” section. 

Process to contact and access Google Chat

With a Google Account, you can use its various products, including Gmail, Google Drive, Photos, and many more. However, to get access to its live chat, you can follow the following steps:

  • Visit the Sign-in Page for Google Accounts.
  • Select the option to create a new account.
  • Scroll down the screen and choose "For my personal use."
  • Provide your fundamental details.
  • Select “Utilise your email address.”
  • Please provide your existing email address.
  • Tap on "Next."  
  • Confirm your email address using the code that was sent to your current email. 
  • Select "Verify."
