Can you chat with TurboTax for free?

To get this option available, you have to purchase the Edition of TurboTax, and then you can connect with the TurboTax Live's chat feature (where you can raise any of your doubts to customer support executive), and the following process you have to follow:

  • Primarily, you have to Sign in to your TurboTax Live account from the browser to begin the process. 
  • Then you have to click on the option "Connect with live help" to continue with the process, and this option will appear once you are logged in to your account.
  • Enter your question, doubts, or any queries in the section "How can we help you?" and then press "Continue."
  • Once you click on the option "continue," you will be redirected to the next page, where there will be an option, "Start Chat." you have to click on it.
  • Then, you'll be assigned customer support there that will have your query resolved. (you must keep in mind that this chat support is available daily from 5 AM TO 5 PM.)

In case you are not connected to customer support by chat mode (which is very rare because they are highly dedicated to supporting the customers if they require any technical assistance, and they respond as soon as they receive a request.) to get any technical assistance, or you have any doubts or queries related to the services that TurboTax provides, or you are looking to forward to cancel your paid subscription, you can also dial the TurboTax support number where all of your queries will be resolved by the customer support executive, and the number is 1-800-446-8848 (and this number is available from Mon-Fri 8 AM- 5 PM.), and you will have the following IVR options that you have to choose as per your desired service or request:

  • Press 1 and choose your language.
  • Press 2 to purchase TurboTax Edition.
  • Press 3 for technical support.

One should keep in mind that TurboTax does not provide any assistance via email method and the reason can be the technical nature of the queries, but you can always contact the customer support executive for assistance and all your doubts that you may have while utilizing the different services, for example, any tax-related assistance, signing-in and logging out the issue and about other services, will quickly get resolved.
