The treatment methods for oil casing pipe leakage include correct installation, reducing resonance, reasonable adjustment, emergency treatment, welding plugging, sealing tape plugging, welding nut thread plugging, welding steel plate plugging and welding drainage device plugging. ‌

Correct installation

Ensure that the pipe clamp is installed in the correct position to avoid missing installation, and adopt appropriate tightening steps, including temporarily not tightening the fastening nuts at both ends. After determining the installation position of the injector, gently tap the high-pressure oil casing pipe with a wooden hammer, and finally tighten the fastening nuts at both ends alternately several times with a torque wrench. ‌

Reduce resonance

The middle part of the high-pressure oil casing pipe is fixed to the adjacent bolts and other fixings through the clip to reduce the damage caused by resonance. ‌

Reasonable adjustment

Ensure that the injection pressure of the injector meets the regulations to avoid excessive injection pressure causing the oil casing pipe to rupture. ‌

Emergency treatment

‌For leaking joints, you can use soft metal or plastic sheets cut into small rings to pad the joint cavity, or use fuses or cotton thread to wrap around the shoulder for several turns, and then tighten the joint nut. ‌If necessary, apply soap to the nut seat or pad it with chewed bubble gum, maltose, etc. ‌

Welding plugging

‌Use a current 30%~40% larger than normal to quickly spot weld at the leak, use larger process parameters, and the arc extinguishing frequency should be fast, stable, and accurate to prevent the pressure in the pipeline from rushing out, and rivet the weld while hot to complete the leak. ‌

Sealing tape plugging

Knead the sealing tape into a ball and fill it into the leaking hole, then use the above welding method, cycle back and forth several times, and weld the leak. ‌

Add welding nut thread plugging method

‌Choose according to the size of the leak hole, and when the hole is within 300mm, nuts and bolts can be used to plug the leak. When the hole is 300~600mm, a screw plug must be used to seal the leak. When welding, first use a hammer to insert a wooden wedge with a certain taper into the leak, and then select the appropriate bolt, nut or screw plug according to the size of the area around the leak hole.

Steel plate welding plugging method

It is suitable for one or more points of honeycomb and serious corrosion around the wall of the oil casing pipe and a large corrosion area. When welding, first use wooden wedges or asbestos ropes to seal each leak, and then use a saw blade to press against the wall of the oil casing pipe and gently saw off the excess part of the wooden wedge. According to the determined corrosion area and shape, select a slightly larger steel plate that is consistent with the curvature of the pipe wall, and fix it by spot welding close to the pipe wall.
