Future MHADA Lottery Programs 2023

The 2023 MHADA (Mumbai) Lottery Scheme

In January 2023, the Mumbai board of MHADA is anticipated to introduce a lottery programme for about 4,000 affordable housing units. About 60% of the units supplied will come from the Pahadi Goregaon residential project of MHADA, while the other units would be under the Mumbai Repair and Redevelopment Board. After the authority's previous plan in Mumbai in 2018, the new initiative is anticipated to be well-received.

The 2023 MHADA (Konkan) Lottery Scheme

Another MHADA lottery programme that was slated to begin in 2022 is anticipated to begin in early 2023. An affordable housing programme will be introduced by the Konkan branch of the Authority in the micromarkets of Thane, Vasai-Virar, Navi Mumbai, and Vengurla. The plan will provide alternatives for all the groups, including the EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG, with an inventory of more than 2,000 residential units. The EWS and LIG categories will, however, each receive a maximum stock allocation of 1,000 units or more, while the remaining flats, around 20 and five will be for MIG and HIG segments, respectively. These flats are likely to be priced relatively lower than those that will be offered in Mumbai.

Additionally, the Authority anticipates holding lottery drawings for the MHADA Aurangabad and Pune projects in 2023, giving a total of around 4,600 and 800 housing units, respectively.
